My latest hobby obsession is creating these custom Etsy banners. I love filling each tiny 760 x 100 pixel canvas (teeny!) with gorgeous, vintage inspired designs. Summer always makes me feel like wearing white sun dresses and crisp white shirts with cut-off denim shorts. The best colour to compliment this is of course turquoise. One of the best examples of wearing white with turquoise has to be Eva Mendes.

Eva was a vision in white at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards. The actress hit the red carpet in beautiful white silk Dior dress and turquoise statement necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels. The outfit was put together by stylist Rachel Zoe. Nothing is more gorgeous then a statement piece of turquoise jewellery:

It’s raining here today and I love it! I slept in late and I’ve spent the afternoon listening to music and blog-hunting.
Which is whyI’m sending out some blog love to the House of Turquoise. Not only is it a blog all about my favourite colour but it also has beautiful style and design ideas. All of the following images are featured on the blog.

I think Margot Austin’s house is my favourite though. It’s actually designed as a teenager’s bedroom! I’m sure I could act like a teen again, if this is where I get to gossip with my friends, study for my assignments and whisper about boys!
